I'm guessing that he is referring to a mental attack when he say thanos could last long enough to break him" BUT its very arguable that a mental attack would even work on someone like void because sentry alone wiped the earth clean of every thought they had of him and earth has some of the most powerful TPs on the planet and they were also wiped cleaned of their memories.

A tp assault isn't working on the void.
