Pool of Knowledge - Reason why Jacen became so powerful?

Is it possible that the Pool of Knowledge made Jacen increasingly powerful? When Taalon decided to swim in it, he became more powerful so it can be argued that the Pool is similar to Force steriods. Any thoughts?

it didn't make him more powerful. Ben was holding his own against Taalon AND Vestera while Luke fought Abeloth.

It made him knowledgeable, but not without limits.
Also, no large silver eyes for Jacen, so he obviously didn't drink from it either.

In fact, he didn't drink from it is STATED in the book where Luke spends all the time with the mind-walkers. Remember? After Luke pulls away from drinking it, he asks if Jacen did,and they said, "he didn't even consider it like you did." or something like that.
