Jason is chasing after some teenagers and decides to take a shortcut in the same lake the Black Blob is floating in and not knowing its there and the blob goes after Jason

Who takes it

Curious as to how Jason would hurt that thing.

Not really.

Thing is there is a demon that resides inside Jason.

A serpent/like one...from Jason goes to Hell.
If that creature can escape Jason's body and fly up the river and escape into a new body Jason lives!

If the blob consumes it too....odds are the demon will possess the blob somehow.

In the long run you could say Jason wins no matter what, in fact now I reckon he wins by default.

If it destroys Jasons physical form, that's a win, right?

But Jason will survive due to the demon ejecting itself from Jason and escaping. Creating a new one elsewhere.
