Cables spear > Webbing, but Pete wins by sheer physicality, he's faster and much much stronger, when alls said and done, without tp or tk Cable - although peak, and extremely capable and a tactical genius - physicaly is just a man. And pete..he's a Spider-man!
Cable being an expert marksman helps him keep Pete at bay, but pete just needs one good opening to oneshot.
Cable isnt just a man in strength nor durability he is above peak in those aspects of his attributes to superhuman.
if by standard gear includes his future weapons and shoulder rail system.. Cable would eat the spider alive but as he is written now he doesnt carry as many advance weapons as he did in the 90's.

i actually prefer old school cable not how he is written now.
but, yeh. i am aware of the cable character change. Cable is one of those characters i kept up with along with Wolverine.
Cable's power was insinuated slowly showing TK and possible TP even before the retcon when he was still a mystery man part of X-Force.
i just wasnt a fan when he was turned into Cyclops kid and his cyborg status changed into techhno organic infection to match his new place.
