Maverick also has kinetic absorption powers, so it would be pretty even early in the fight. Shaw would eventually overpower Maverick though, and while that armor of his would protect him for a while, Maverick would have to rethink his strategy quick.
Unless Maverick uses that vibranium knife efficiently or packs an energy-based arsenal, I'd give Shaw the majority.
