Jeff Bridges was not the Leading actor: Hailee Steinfeld was. Very very disrespectful to Hailee Steinfeld out of those listed.

But, Jeff would be my choice.

Christian Bale would be a good choice out of like 3 others I had in mind. I think other movies have better selections.

For realism, True Grit. For fantasy, Alice in Wonderland.

However, none of those are good choices.

The Social Network had some "fun" cine going on. Inception did too. However, Black Swan may very well have the best. I'd like to see Tron Legacy up there, though.

Inception. 😐

But, I'd be comfortable with The Fighter because it had some great editing (most people don't notice that kind of stuff so I consider this an odd ball award.)

Tron Legacy or Toy Story 3. I like the nice little sounds in Toy Story 3: the sampling had to be very fun and precise to make all of those little clinks, clanks, buzzes, zips, whips, etc. Tron had some nice sound which required nice sampling, which is why I put it in this category.

Prolly Inception, from those listed. But I would go for Tron Legacy, as well. The sound "collected" on scene (and later leaned up and compiled) in that movie is great. Give it some cred, Academy.

The Fighter, definitely. Inception and The Fighter are not original ideas, but they were executed in unique ways. I gotta give it to The Fighter because I enjoyed the story more in that film than Inception...but it was close.

(In the categories I care about)
Predictions*
Who I want to Win-

Best Picture
The King's Speech*
The Social Network-

Best Director
David Fincher*
Darren Aronofsky-

Best Actor
Colin Firth*
Jesse Eisenberg-

Best Actress
Nicole Kidman*
Natalie Portman-

Best supporting actor
Geoffrey Rush*-

Best Supporting Actress
Helena Bonham Carter*-

Best Animated
Toy Story 3*- (no competition)

Best original screenplay
Inception*-

I still haven't seen The Fighter, The King's Speech or True Grit but I'm planning on it. Some of these I'm predicting blindly (like Nicole Kidman, haven't seen Rabbit Hole but I can see her winning.)

I'm fairly disappointed that Tron didn't didn't get nominated for music. Daft Punk made an excellent score for the film.

I give less than a shit about the Oscars.

I am only intriuged by three categories:

Best Direction for the Coen Bros.
Best animated film for Toy Story 3
Best screenplay (adapted) for True Grit

Actor in a Leading Role

* Javier Bardem in “Biutiful”
* Jeff Bridges in “True Grit”
* Jesse Eisenberg in “The Social Network”
* Colin Firth in “The King's Speech”
* James Franco in “127 Hours”

-Haven't seen "Biutiful"

-Colon Firth should win of the other four.

Best Picture

* “Black Swan” Mike Medavoy, Brian Oliver and Scott Franklin, Producers
* “The Fighter” David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Mark Wahlberg, Producers
* “Inception” Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan, Producers
* “The Kids Are All Right” Gary Gilbert, Jeffrey Levy-Hinte and Celine Rattray, Producers
* “The King's Speech” Iain Canning, Emile Sherman and Gareth Unwin, Producers
* “127 Hours” Christian Colson, Danny Boyle and John Smithson, Producers
* “The Social Network” Scott Rudin, Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca and Ceán Chaffin, Producers
* “Toy Story 3” Darla K. Anderson, Producer
* “True Grit” Scott Rudin, Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, Producers
* “Winter's Bone" Anne Rosellini and Alix Madigan-Yorkin, Producers

-Torn between The Fighter and King's Speech. Both excellent films. Overall, I'd say King's Speech.

-Black Swan and The Social Network making it is a damn shame. Two WAY overrated films.

-Haven't seen Winter's Bone. Will try.

I want Natalie Portman to win for Actress.

For director, I want Aronofsky, he's due. Shoulda won it for The Wrestler, really.

Picture should be Toy Story 3 or Black Swan. Inception would be acceptable, too.

Actor should be Bridges.

As the days go by and lead up to the Oscars I may change my mind on some of these
