he is often referred as a god due to his power level and being an Avatar/champion to death.
he was born an eternal that in itself doesnt matter he has evolved passed that..
and i seriously urge you to read some thanos comics and appearances in captain marvel series.
heralds, gods, abstracts and even Thanos himself has called himself a God of Death.

this isnt a ideological debate..... take that line of reasoning to the philosophy forum.
comic canon states he is a god from various sources it is mostly used to place him in a certain teir like heralds, metas and some such.
aside from that your reasoning is flawed as Thanos pointed out that Death herself cannot create and she to is a god and their are also other gods who have no power other then longevity and are called gods.
if you dont like my thread and characters in it than dont post and find another thread rather then try and nit pick something that has nothing to do with the battle at hand.
The mad god is simply a title. It isn't the same kind of god like Asgard or skrulls pantheon.... Just like hulk isn't really the strongest there is or wolverine the best at what he does...Thanos isn't empowered by worshippers or even have any:.. Well not in the Thor sense of prayers etc..
But in any case... Team in both...
