Clan Wars

The year is 2011 A.D. and the world is in an upheaval. Aliens from a distant planet have threatened to attack the Earth in the year 2012 A.D. The aliens have given this warning to prepare mankind for its extermination. Most Earthlings see this threat as a hoax or government conspiracy, and no one has done anything to prepare for the inevitable. A secret society of warriors has emerged from the depths of Vietnam’s Son Doong cave. They have shown themselves to the world in the hopes of uniting the planet against the aliens, and have been training since the year 1000 A.D. Their training first started when two brothers received the prophecy from Emperor Zhenzong of Song China. He had a vision that the world would be destroyed in a dramatic turn of events. The Emperor named the society Zai Zi You meaning “the gifted ones”. The Emperor chose the greatest warriors from all over the world to join this new clan, and sealed them away in the Son Doong caves. There the warriors have been training, and passing their knowledge to their offspring, while some have discovered how to prolong their lives. In 1950 half of the members of Zai Zi You grew impatient with how slow the leader, named Master Fuxi Jin was preparing the Zai Zi You. Master Jin wanted to wait until the time was right to unite the world, and he knew that the world was not ready for what was to come. These rebel members saw the wars that the world was going through, and knew that they had to unite the world under one government. They decided to leave the Zai Zi You, and formed the Yami No Taki meaning “Darkness Falls”. The Zai Zi You feared the effects the Yami No Taki would have on the world, so they prepared for the worse. Luckily the Zai Zi You had nothing to worry about because the Yami No Taki went into hiding. Now with the emergence of the Zai Zi You, the Yami No Taki have also shown themselves. The world is in chaos, and the two clans must unite everyone, while dealing with each other. Since the 1950’s the two clans have grown to hate each other. The Yami No You want to rule the world with an iron fist, and the Zai Zi You would rather rule through democracy and negotiations.

The two clans gain power from their followers meaning the people they conquer. You can either choose to be the Zai Zi You or the Yami No Taki, and your story begins with whatever clan you have chosen. If you choose Zai Zi You then your story begins atop the mountains of Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park. You will be given your orders by Master Totem Jin, before you are asked to leave the cave. If you choose Yami No Taki then you will begin your story in the City of the Dead in the Catacombs of Paris. You will receive your orders by Lord Akhem.

The goal is to unite nations (Zai Zi You), or conquer nations through brute force and fear (Yami No Taki)

Each Character can only have two categories of abilities. Example Fire, Telekinesis. Meaning you can have powers in Fire such as fireball or a fire wall, but it has to be something involved with fire.

Name: Makoto Nagano

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: Japanese, Descends from the Fujiwara Clan, circa 960 A.D.

Personality: loyal, trusting, hard-working, impolite, jealous, combative

Abilities (including powers): Well-rounded warrior deadly with broadsword, Mark XIX Desert Eagle, and M16 A-4. Makoto also has the ability to control any form of rock. With his young age Makoto has not been able to refine both of his skills so his use of rock is only used in self-defense, until he gains more followers.

Weapons: His primary weapon is a 42 inch long broadsword that folds into a weapon similar to the standard M16 A-4. His secondary weapon is a standard Mark XIX Desert Eagle.

Clan: Zai Zi You

Bio: Makoto has lived his entire life in the dark caverns of the Son Doong caves. His father trained him in the art of being a true warrior, while his mother trained him in the art of controlling the rocks that made up the cave. Makoto’s father constantly trained him, and he was never allowed to play in the underground river with the other children. Because of this discipline Makoto has never learned how to interact with other people, and his words can seem as blunt as his sword. Makoto’s great grandfather constructed Makoto’s current sword and it has been a family heirloom ever since. During the 1950’s Makoto’s own brother decided to join the Yami No Taki when they departed in the night, but Makoto’s allegiance to his clan and family would not allow him to leave. His brother was dead to him, as soon as he left the caves of Son Doong. Now with the incoming battle against the unknown aliens and the reemergence of the Yami No Taki, Makoto has vowed to his family to bring his brother and all the other traitors to justice.

Abilities (including powers): Jim can control metal in small amounts. He cannot lift a car (yet - he's still trying), but he can rip one apart and make a fully functioning weapon from it. Years of training both in gymnastics and martial arts has made him a parkour level athlete and a competent hand to hand fighter.

A Fold-out riot shield on the left arm, which is normally the size of an arm guard, and can be fixed at any size between it's normal size and its full shield size.
A wrist mounted grappling hook, which can attach to any surface through a combination of claws and magnetism. Also functions as a claw-tipped whip.
Due to Jim's control of metal, he his unnaturally skilled with both weapons.
Clan: Yami No Taki
Bio: Orphaned and taken in by his the Yami No Taki clan, Jim was raised to believe that the enemy clan, Zai Zi You, were responsible for the death of his parents. It was a complete lie, but Jim believed it from the word go, and now uses his talents to try and avenge his parent's murder.

Abilities: Ice and Air. Wallace can freeze the ground into a sheet of ice, or create ice by condensing the air around him, and can draw in more air if needed. He can manipulate the wind, boosting his speed and jumping ability, levitating for a few seconds, or even blasts of frozen air and hail.

Appearance: Short brown hair, with blue eyes and a thin frame. He typically wears a blue suit of his own design, which resembles the outfit of a figure shater, and includes wing-like windcatchers to assist in flight/jumps. It's designed for warmth and is lightly armored, providing some resistence to small arms fire.

Weapons:His primary weapons are a pair of sharpened ice skates, which can be retracted into his boots. His fighting style heavily favors kicks and tripping maneuvers to a fault. As a secondary, Wallace carries a .358 Revolver.

Clan: Zai Zi You

Bio: At a young age, Wallace always loved the ice, and would often spend his days skating, practicing techniques and figures. Soon, his abilities presented themselves, and Wallace was chosen to join the Zai Zi You, nominated by a distant relative living in the area. Wallace chose to continue his practices despite the climate, incorporating his abilities into his martial arts training. He became an expert in close combat with his kick based style, and with his power over air was quite a good shot with a firearm. As he learned to control his abilities, he practiced turning the battlefield to his advantage and fighting in many different areas, though he specialized in turning them to icy areas where he held the advantage.

i have a question. can a character be neutral, or part of the alien race?

I didn't plan on that, but I think it would make the story interesting. So yes your character can be nuetral and or part of an alien race.
