Obviously it wasn't a real fight, but I think you are severely underestimate Moonknight, if you think that after the events at the start of the issue he wasn't expect Wolverine to attack him on some level, even if he hoped he wouldn't.

^ He was about to shoot repulsor blasts with tech he stole from Iron Man. It was a feint, disguising an attack. Moon Knight's good. But Wolverine was too smart.
