Dwayne McDuffie Died

Quiet.

I'm not talking about you. Nor simply about this situation, but making a reference to any regarding deceased people with some influence.

There's no respect in this one:

i hated the guy as a writer for marvel, DC and animation the only thing i liked about him was that he created static. what type of surgery was he having?

But at the same time, King Castle wished to stay consistent despite him dying, and I can respect him for it.

i acknowledged his contribution to the comic world and asked a follow up question concerning the surgery.

aside from that however you view my post is irrelevant are simply projecting.

can some one pls answer my previous question of why he was undergoing surgery and what went wrong

RIP.

No, you didn't.

You started by acknowledging your hate for the vast majority of his work and offhandedly mentioned something you liked. That's fine. But nowhere did I see you respecting him in-spite of apparent dislike or disagreement. No 'R.I.P.', No well wishes to his family, nothing. Casually asking for a follow up on his death doesn't mean anything in either direction.

Again, I don't care. Hence the meh. I was simply explaining to Deadline what I saw.

there was no disrespect intended b/c i did not post RIP or any other similar comment.
it is against my own personal views of death and has nothing to do with me disrespecting the recently deceased.. 🤨

hell, my family and culture celebrate the dead

if you require a comment acknowledging his current status very well.

"he will be missed by many ppl, may their mourning be brief"

You could look at the fact we didn't like his work, but we still payed our respects as its a tragedy

No some comments were quite disrespecful, you can state you didn't like his work without making flippant remarks. You wouldn't like it if somebody close to you died and somebody made flippant remarks would you? Obvoulsy I'm being immature and not considerate.

I didn't really want to say anything but some comments seemed a bit inconsiderate.

Damn, this guy wrote a great Superman. He wrote him power lvl wise spot on.

I'm sorry this has happened, and may he rest in piece.

Also.. (though this is not the place to discuss this) his opinion on Superman, and how he wrote him:

You've written Superman before, in "Justice League Unlimited" and recently in the "Crisis on Two Earths" film. How does this version of Superman compare to the others you've written previously?

Mcduffie: One of the things about writing Superman in "Justice League" is that if you write him at his full potential, then there's no need for the rest of the Justice League. So, you always have to sort of power him down or kind of Worf-Effect him so he doesn't solve the entire problem in four seconds. You have to adjust him in a way that makes him less effective than he normally is. That's probably true for every member in a team book who has their own solo thing, but it's really obvious with Superman. In this case, one thing, we're starting off with a Superman who is much more powerful than he's ever been, which is fun as well. I generally have to write a Superman who is much weaker than he usually is. The problem of having him in a story that's not a finite one-off like this is, is that if Superman is at full power, he just fixes everything and there's nothing to do next month.

Didn't read the article. How'd he die?
