The only thing that ruined All Star Superman for me was the resolution of his conflict with Lex. Wait, so he sees the world like Superman sees it and that solves everything between them? So you mean... as long as your Kryptonian-powered, you can't help but see the world to be this beautiful thing?

Great. Superman's love and valor is apparently a result of his superpowers. I mean... even a tool like Lex can't help but be that way. Great way to unintentionally take the "hero" out of "superhero."

I really wish that I could get into DC's stuff more. But it just seems so... jumbled that's its difficult to find a good jump on point imo. I'm loving Rebels and GL corps though.

Read the All-Star Superman comic series. It's pretty much impossible to not thoroughly enjoy it.

as a nova fan you almost have no choice but to at least like GLC

dc also takes their art more seriously, imo less monthly issues = more detailed work for the houses. marvel puts out a lot of shit with gems burried inside like S.H.I.E.L.D.

Yeah, I don't understand why they decided to add that to the film... It did NOT go down that way in the comic series.

boo 👇

I haven't seen the film. I am talking about the comic.

= one of the best reads in quite a while, imho. On the DC side, REBELS started out extremely well, but has since began to fizzle out. 🙁

Ok, well Lex's newfound insight upon viewing the world how Superman does certainly didn't solve everything between them. As Lex was grovelling at his feet, Supes knocked him the f-u-c-k out with a right hook.

That, and the fact that Im a fan of most Tony Bedard stuff dating back to Negation.

They pull the ole switch a roo with most of the great artists. Look at Nova. Wellington Alves was awesome. His stuff was highly detailed like Pelletier. Then they inexplicably switched to De Vito and a more cartoonish look.

As for dc, I'm digging the whole drawing the line at $2.99 campaign. I know that they have to be skimming from somewhere, but it doesn't seem to be art or story. Idk how they're doing it.

Marvel is giving Hickman Carte Blanche. Deservedly so imo.

Superman knuckling Lex didn't vindicate what happened IMO.

I just hated it. Supposedly, as long as anybody -- even an evil, selfish tool like Lex -- has Superman's powers, they'd act and feel just the same way as Superman does. That notion being reinforced by Lex reverting to evil, selfish tool-mode immediately upon losing his powers annoyed me even more. Da phuck.

Take that one scene out, leave the gravity gun brain-over-brawns scene otherwise intact, and it was pitch-perfect. Anyway, enough with my rambling. Its a favorite among many and I'm not trying to say it was bad. Just the opposite. But I hated that scene.

Hmm. If anything that new found appreciation for Earth should be one of many possible outcomes. Could I see someone gaining a new perspective and changing for the better? Sure. But more likely I think that level of power would serve to make you more of what you already are. Just my two cents.

I agree. That particular scene was completely out of place, and no needed whatsoever.

My work schedule is 2pm-11pm... everything is closed when I get off. I tried getting it on my lunch but books a million was closed. It might take some time.

I forgot what the other one was aboutm

no, you didn't. you posted a page from wizard (some poxy chart no less that a five year old could have put together) that had inaccurate information that couldn't even match the comic they had supposedly gotten their figure from.

Why are people so against me having a Superman sig? 🙁

True, mainstream Superman is a faggot and the Superfags who suck Lois' handbag are no better but I liked All Star Superman.

gtf over yourself. seriously.

I do remember. The bio was inaccurate. They even tried to quote the Flash comic and got it wrong.

You have a good memory because that was at least 4 to 5 years ago. I didn't see anything wrong with it... they said that Supes can lift 100,000+ tons and his top speed is 2000 mps. That's beastly if you ask me. I forgot what was said about his durability but I feel safe to say that they didn't lowball him.

They got his strength wrong, and they got his speed wrong. His own feats contradict that half-assed bio. 100,000 tons is frankly well short of the mark.

Also, iirc it was last year. I barely remember four or five years ago in general.
