General Zod vs Nova Prime

Who wins?

I'll stay out because I don't know shyte about Zod. But I can guess the logic. "Da general Zod fights Superman. He wins."

His fights usually don't go so well against Supes and I can see Nova giving Supes a hell of a fight. IMO, Nova is easily a high herald.

High Herald power set, Mid herald showings. At least that seems to be the kmc consensus with regards to NP. Of course we have a few lowballers, but their numbers have dwindled significantly compared to when I first joined here 😉

I'll say this, NP has an ideal power set to counter the "standard" Superman power set. -no booger eaters, I didn't say he'd beat Supes- Nova's got Super speed, top tier durability and damage soak, energy absorption, siphoning and redirection, and gravity manipulation etc.

If Nova beats Zod pretty sure it won't be through physical strength.

How strong is the general? In Marvel terms?

Zod beats him. A more or less seasoned Nova defeated Zenith indirectly, the fair match wasn't stacked in his favor in any way.

If we're talking about the most recent incarnation, the one from New Krypton, he seemed to be weaker than Superman but more ruthless.

In Marvel terms I think he's probably somewhere around Gladiator level.

Hmm. Nova generally limits himself to around -if I had to guess- 70% or so of his actual capacity for all of the usual Nova cliche reasons. He's still class 100 even at that level so I don't think Glads level strength is beyond him when he starts channeling more nova force.

So Zod can destroy a planet with his strength? If the answer is yes, prove it.

Zod doesn't have near or close to the feats Gladiator has.

If I could name one thing that people underestimate about NP its his durability and overall physical and mental toughness. The guy has traded punches with people that are more powerful then Zod. In fact, I'm racking my brain trying to think of a time that he's been put down by any herald leveler by sheer physical force alone. I can't recall one off the top of my head. Anybody?
