Anglomir's light armour mproves a benefit here as he does indeed get a chance to close down that goblin. It gets a shot off first, but a 48 goes into Anglomir's shield. An 85 on his manoeuvre roll is successful, and an 81 on his attack is boosted by the bonus for attacking nto a horiffic 28E< and an outright kill.

Talin has an easy boring kill with a 13 C on E., whilst a high roll from Menelacar- after having taken a scratch- scores a 23E and cuts the goblin's arm off,. which I shall call a kill! The archer by Menelacar runs.

For a moment, you guys are alone. Anglomir has run ahead into the darkness and can barely see at all, and you hear the sounds of more foes approaching.

Talin will catch up to the Gondorian, knowing full well that the soldier cannot see a damned thing. But Talin can and is certain to take point as quickly as possible.

He remembers to pull his axe from the slain goblin.

"More come," Talin says. "We forge ahead."

Embarrassingly enough, it is actually a manoeuvre roll to re-assert yourself in a hurry like that (heavier armour really can mess you up that way. On the other hand, those goblins may as well have been armed with wiffle bats with you wearing metal armour).

If I fail the maneuver roll, do I not move at all? Otherwise we can give it a shot.

It;s not quite that bad, no. You make a partial move, though if you completely cock it up you fall over.

Can we take a goblin head as evidence to take back to Farael?

Anglomir will stay put, he doesn't feel like blundering off into the darkness.

A goblin head we can get from any goblin anywhere. We need something that shows they're coming from Angmar, I'd assume.
