my dream = best zombie movie ever

so i had this mad dream where in the FAR future zombies somehow take over the world and the last survivor is a incredible scientist so he builds a time machine to go back in time & trys to stop the virus from even spreading, only for the zombies to follow him through time!!! (then i woke)

dammmmmmmmm that dream would make a helleva movie

The zombies have to have something different/futuristic about them, or it's just another zompocalypse gig. Maybe the recently-fed ones have accelerated healing: you have to blow the whole brain/body apart, or they just regenerate. Maybe they have levitation discs attached, so you can't climb to safety. Maybe they use smartphone scanner apps to locate where all the 'food' is?

I remember being a time traveler, and I was sitting at a table in some kind of outdoor cafe, circa 1940s. People were walking around, and every now and then, one would scratch an itch or suddenly say 'ow', or rub their arm or leg. I knew the time-traveling had changed me, and when I refocused my vision, I could see translucent, mushroom-like creatures floating and gliding about. And everytime one would pass ghostlike through a person, the person would react.

I quickly realized this was the real reason why people developed aches and pains. These things -- perhaps among us for our entire history -- were taking little nips out of us.

did the zombie get through the opened portal through time thats why the zombies were able to follow the scientist?
