You obviously didn't know how big the gears actually were (perplexing as you have a frame of reference in the single panel you actually seem them in). You obviously don't know how big Mageddon actually is (galaxy-size, lolwut?). You disregard that Mageddon was also powered by the anti-sun core... since, y'know... Mageddon was pretty much deactivated when Superman disconnects it.

No. Superman was in chains turning the wheels. He absorbed the energy of mageddon in order to defeat it. It was physical strength unless you can prove otherwise.
