They're called 'gravity-guns', I used to think they were sound-based weapons. Either way, they seem to kill by hitting the target with concussive energy, ie slamming into them with 'X' amount of force. Which seems to be strong enough to send a man back a bit and killing him in the process.

Not sure that will do much to Robo-Cain.

No real need, we have the film. Necro-guns send out a blast that looks somewhat like a sound-wave, it hits people; they go flying back some and they die. It kills with concussive force.

Robo-Cain survived a fall off a skyscraper.
