Mario vs Sonic Race

Mario and Sonic have to race 10 miles across an island.

1st scenario Mario gets star power and Sonic has all the Chaos emeralds
2nd scenario Mario gets star power but no Chaos emeralds for you know who.

Not a fight between the two just a race, who wins ?
