Weak in every way,
I’ve been weak in every way,
So my tears, you won’t see today
Weak in the present,
Weak in the past,
Strength always eludes me,
Never in its brilliant warmth will I bask
Oh, whatever would you think of one such as me
One who would let tears like wild fauna run free?
One who would cry?
Cry?! No!!! Not even for one who’s died!
My friend,
Life is hard enough you see,
And harder still,
When you feel as if you’re the not the man you’ve fought to be,
A tear,
A drop of saccharine sin
Cannot, shall not still my heart’s chaotic din
Do not ask me to let them out,
I would sooner let my insides shout
And be ravaged limb from limb
By a torrent of emotions bursting from within
Brother, a man is measured in many ways,
By his job and how much it pays,
By his car and how much it costs,
By his lovers,
Those he’s discarded and those he’s lost,
By his brawn,
By his faith,
By his graces,
And by his weight,
But by his tears?
No not by these,
He’d sooner be made chaff
And be blown away like leaves
So for now,
My tears will stay,
Safely locked away,
Like a raging tide that’s been kept at bay
Weak in every way,

And my tears, you will never see,
