Who would you pick to be superman

superman has retired for a year who would be the very best superman replacement and why. they also would have to be convincing to others that there superman

i would say classic sentry would be best for the job...he was pretty much the exact same thing as supes

he also has the S symbol on his belt...pretty convincing to me

gladiator is 100% the closest to supes power wise...just not so much in the looks department

So what are the criterias?

Do they have to fill in for Superman as the inspiring powerful superhero of Earth -if that's the case, Thor, Classic Sentry, and Captain Marvel would be my picks- or do they have to literally impersonate Superman?

The OP states 'make people think they're Superman.'

So with that in mind Classic Sentry (if he gets his hair dyed and cut) or Captain Marvel are the logical choices.
