Because I took the movie on it's face value & didn't look further into what's supposed to be IMPLIED.

I mean 3/4 into the movie, girl vamp is hinted as a mutilated boy but we still view her as a girl by the end of the movie when she runs off with the boy.

Who's to say that the original guardian never had sexual relations with the child considering the child vamp had no sexual organs to begin with....
