I'm not the one who put forward the ideea of Iron Man soloing; or him giving more than a fight to Kalibak, on average. Thus, you're the one who needs to define how you see Kalibak's average, and why Iron Man's average is better, for this discussion to progress in any direction.
Kalibak's average doesn't put him far and beyond away such beings such as Ulik, whom Iron Man was able to best and fight on even terms at the very least and multiple times at that. Iron Man has superior speed, offensive options, versatility, shields capable of blocking intensely powerful energy output of various kinds, able to better adapt and fight unknown foes, far smarter, etc.
So, what does average Kalibak bring to the table that Iron Man can't beat or split even against at the very least?
Originally posted by JakeTheBankOn average, Kalibak is physically comparable to Orion; with flight capabilities that would ensure he'd close the gap on Iron Man, durability to take everything that's thrown at him and range weapon capable of staggering the likes of Orion and Superman, also coupled with his strength.
So, what does average Kalibak bring to the table that Iron Man can't beat or split even against at the very least?
Iron Man wouldn't be able to put him down, and it's only a matter of time before Kalibak gets a few shots in and Iron Man is out.
This is rediculous. Even if Kalibak is an idiot who's a disgrace to his father, he's still one of Darkseid's kids. And he may lose to people like Orion or Superman, but they would annihilate this team as well.
The team has no means of hurting him or putting him down. And as Philo said, it's only a matter of time until he lands a lucky shot and kills someone. His beta club has hurt his brother and Superman, and broken Kyle's shields.

This...
And you also forgot to add that Ironman has a Spider sense and can also teleport, turn invisible, and can actually make light clones of himself.
Doesn't really help when his opponent is stronger, faster, and has both the physical prowess to rip his armor apart, and a apokoliptian weapon that can one shot him.
Edit: Big deal. He's still a bigger brick than these guys. And what part of "Beta Club" do you not get? You don't put high metas against people who fight Superman and co.

I know you just didn't say Kalibak is faster than Ironman... someone who has nano second feats and someone who has flown from Earth to the sun in 2 panels.
Tonys strength WILL hurt Kalibak, his speed advantage will be a major factor and his versatility from sonic, to bombs, to repulsor rays, to every things else would harm him as well.
Tony has the tools.
