Respect COUNCIL OF GODHEADS

The Council of Godheads is the collective union of the heads of several dozen of Earth's mightiest and oldest pantheons, from virtually every nation and culture that ever existed, gathering in times of grave threat to Earth and/or all their pantheons. Arguably the most powerful collective force ever to have been assembled on the planet, there are few capable of challenging, much less rivaling, the full strength of the Council Elite of Earth's Skyfathers.

The first gathering of the Council of Godheads, to combat the imminent threat of the alien Celestials, in Thor #300:

Zeus, Odin and Vishnu joining together to confront the Celestials, to be greeted by their Eternal representative, Ajak; the Celestials threaten to seal the gateways to their respective realms, forcing their cooperation:

Millennia later, Odin sends the Asgardians, empowered by his life force and that of all the Asgardians, further empowered by the might of Earth's Skyfathers against Celestials; attack fails but Gaea intervenes and appeases Celestials in time to save Thor:

The death gods from various pantheons attempt to merge netherworld realms, thus rousing attention of Demogorge, which in turn rouses attention of Odin and the Skyfathers:

In What If? alternate reality, when Seth conquers Asgard and captures Thor, the Council meets, consenting to join forces and crush Seth if Asgard fails to free itself shortly:

In the universal Infinity Gauntlet crisis caused by the mad Titan Thanos, Odin convenes the Council once more to counter his power, but all of the gods are stranded in Asgard before they can act:

When Akhenaten siphons sufficient power from the Heart of the Infinite to threaten all of Earth, the Council meets in a neutral realm to attempt to answer his threat; however, they are detected and all but Thor and Zeus are brutally slain:

The Council tests Thor for worthiness to replace Odin, but he ultimately fails; the Council later observes Thor as he intervenes in the affairs of humanity more and more directly:

To combat the Secret Invasion of the Skrulls, Athena calls together the Council Elite once more in the shadow of the Dreaming Celestial:

The Council congregates in their Throne Room once more at the dawn of Earth's Heroic Age, but the Skyfathers also sense the deadly approach of the primordial Chaos King:

The Chaos War at long last strikes Earth in full force, and, with Hercules newly empowered as the top Skyfather, the Council commands him and Amadeus to bow before their authority, succeeding in only arousing his violent wrath:
