The Axe Gang versus The Grammercy Riffs

Brother Sum has decided to move the Axe Gang to New York and set up shop there. The Riffs catch wind of this and of course they aren't having it.

Cyrus, the Riffs leader, issues a challenge to Sum, which Sum accepts: Gang fight, at night, in Central Park. The Riffs are armed with knives, 2x4's, typical melee weapons. The Axe Gang are armed with two axes each.

So, who wins and rules New York?

I'd give it to the axe gang. Because knives and 2x4's scare me far less than twin axes/hatchets.
