The Royal Wedding, Interested??

The Royal (German) Wedding

So who´s looking forward to the "Royal Wedding".

Yep the German "Saxe-Coburg and Gotha" house, changed to "Windsor" by George the V because Germans weren´t to popular in 1917 due to the 2nd world war, are having a big wedding show.

Just wondering who is interested, likes and hates this.

Meeting up with some activist groups in London that day, should be fun.

Interesting, what are you going to protest against?

We're going to try to really stretch out the MASSIVE police force that's being deployed. Something like 5,000 officers complete with helicoptors and the like.

There'll be anti-war demonstrations, anti-monarchy demonstrations, haha, pretty much every anti-(insert things that suck) will be attending. I'm not even entirely sure who I'll be with besides the group of people I'm going down with.

Should be a really interesting day, I'm curious to see what they turn London into.

People are hosting parties here in the US.

😐

I never heard of this wedding. The only wedding people are making a big deal in the states is the English wedding.Which I am planning to watch.

I don't care personally, my mother is the one who likes the royal family.

I just think of the abuse and ridicule that genuine benefit claimants have to go through to get financial support when the royals sponge off taxpayer money and are adored for it. Its just a circus really, and one that has happened before and will no doubt happen again when Harry gets married.

I'm still waiting for the picture of Wills and Harry in the future wearing an army uniform stuffed with medals for doing nothing whatsoever in combat, that'll give me a good old laugh.

Have you ever noticed how much Harry looks like Major Hewitt.

Best of luck liberator!

Hahahaaaaahhahaa.

When Hary 'served' in Afghanistan, as soon as the drudge reported reported he was there he was pulled back. I believe his presence put other soldiers at risk. The medal thing is a bit like Mutley in catch the Pigeon.

The "he's a danger to others" seems like an excuse to officially pull him out, which is stupid, as I don't think anyone believed for a moment he'd be in any more danger in Afghanistan than he is on a daily basis in England or while vacationing.

I highly doubt Harry was at any time even remotely near combat or a dangerous area and I'm certain he wasn't allowed to take a piss without a squad of SAS (or equally lethal men) there to hold his tallywhacker for him. It was all for show.

Allegedly he had been on combat missions. I think only the really stupid believe that.

Yeah, I remembered those pictures in the paper, sitting down in front of an M60, grinning into the camera like a fool. Thing is, he could have been in any desert in the world when those were taken. And as for the safety element, why then join the army in the first place? It was all for show, for publicity and to fluff up his stature even more (as if being a royal didn't do that enough)

Oh doubtless, it makes me laugh how he went from this:

to a boys own hero via spin and manipulation.

Hmm, a smug opening post under the misapprehension that the poster is being insightful by revealing that a century ago the royal family had German blood in it- something that applies to much of the country- followed by a bunch of ignorant, uninformed gibbering about the Royals, with a sprinkling of trolls mixed in. Pretty low, folks.

Closed. If someone wants to open a sensible thread about the wedding I may allow it, but not a mess like this.
