i thought it was decided that unless a characters powerset is speed-based, that only a percentage their fights will be won due to speedblitz. Even in full capacity, which teth normally fights in, he still regularly gets tagged by slower characters.

that's about right.

it's also due to the fact that adam likes to simply tear people's heads off rather than just blitz them.

That's ancient history, decades ago in the PC days. And even then when the two of them stopped holding back they started beating Adam. It's always been a matter of Black Adam not holding back as much as most DC Top Tiers so he sometimes appears more powerful.
