Royal medal meanings

I am a person interested in history and uniforms. I had the Honor of wearing the coolist uniform ever United States Marine Corps Dress Blues but anyway does anyone know what the big star medals are on the Royal uniforms? I noticed the Queens Husband had 3 Prince Charles had 2 and Prince William has 1 and its killing me what it means i cant find it on line

Think it could be to signify that he's the Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, Prince of Wales, Beef of Wellington so on and so forth.

He's also had a military career, so it's likely they pinned all manners of medals on him for duties served, deserving or not.

Prince Philip has the Atlantic Star, Africa Star, 1939-1945 Star, Burma Star with Pacific Clasp, Italy Star as well as 9 other military decorations and a **** load of other titles and medals he's been presented with...Chances are it's his military decorations you mean though.
