Mjolnir: Who is Worthy?(Group thread)

ok, Thor has been out for a few weeks now. The enchantment says "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor"..

if a location is necessary than this takes place in New Mexico at the SHIELD facility where Thor was held at and he failed the first time to lift Mjolnir..

the players:

Superman(both Reeves and Routh and Supes from Superman/Batman: Public Enemies)

Green Lantern(Green Lantern First Flight animated movie)

The Hulk(both movies and WWH(World War Hulk) from Planet Hulk animated movie)

The Joker(both Jack and Heath)

Keyser Söze(The Usual Suspects)

Hans Gruber(Die Hard)

Batman(Keaton, Bale and Batman from Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker animated movie)

Ron Weasley(Harry Potter franchise)

Alice(RE: Afterlife)

Kung Fu Panda(1st film)

I may add more.. Are they all worthy to lift Mjolnir?

Superman(both Reeves and Routh and Supes from Superman/Batman: Public Enemies) - All of them can.

Green Lantern(Green Lantern First Flight animated movie) - He probably more so than most. He is worthy of the Green Lantern power.

The Hulk(both movies and WWH(World War Hulk) from Planet Hulk animated movie) - None of them. The only version of Hulk that is probably worthy is Professor Hulk. This version is smart and knows what needs to be done. Though, it may not work due to the instability of that form. (This version is not in a movie, I believe...so it doesn't count.)

The Joker(both Jack and Heath) - The hammer sings, "can't touch this" as they strain to pick it up. Even if they were worthy, they should not be strong enough to pick it up because it's supposedly really heavy even if you are worthy.

Keyser Söze(The Usual Suspects) - Definitely not. Same as The Jokers if not even more so than the jokers due to his evilness.

Hans Gruber(Die Hard) - Same as the jokers.

Batman(Keaton, Bale and Batman from Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker animated movie) - Keaton and Bale, yes. I am not sure about The Return of Joker. There are several versions and sometimes, Batman is too much of an ass to be worthy.

Ron Weasley(Harry Potter franchise) - No. He's too "scared" and whiny.

Alice(RE: Afterlife) - Her heart is too black and jaded to ever be worthy.

Kung Fu Panda(1st film) - Yes. It has to be the version AFTER he became enlightened and could do the pinky thing. lol

None of em. 😛

The most worthy is probably Po by the end of the film.

Superman.

Being worthy of a Green Lantern does not equate to being worthy of MJOLNIR

Nah, I'd say that being worthy to be a Green Lantern directly implies being worthy of Mjolnir.

Bana Hulk could pick up Mjolnir if he was mad enough.

Ultimate Hulk did it in the animated Ultimate Avengers film.

That's not the way it works.

That was the stupidest shit ever.

True, but I'm just mentioning for posterity.

Nah, I feel that it truly shows the level of Hulk's strength.

No, that shows that even an Odin-force enchantment cannot supersede a no-limits fallacy.

The problem, of course, is that Odin's enchantment is magic at least in the comics. It's not that the hammer weighs more if the person isn't worthy, they just simply can't lift it. It's not a question of strength at all, either you need to have the correct character or be powerful enough "magically".

Well in the Ultimate Universe Thor was a whole lot weaker and, if I am not mistaken, his power was implied to depend on how much faith humans had on him. Hulk lifting the hammer was the most stupid shit ever meant to humiliate Thor. I mean he got knocked out by his own hammer. *Sigh*

Hulk won't lift it.

that statement was so vague, we have no actual facts about what Odin's parameters are... Mjolnir responded to Thor after he was willing to sacrifice himself for humans, that's the only thing we have to go by.

Superman and Batman are the only ones that would qualify, i think.

.

was thor ever not in possession of his hammer in the film?

yeah... for like half the friggin movie. lol.

😂
so it is possible to lift his hammer?

no, at least not that we see. Thor placed Mjolnir on Loki's chest, Loki couldn't move it so he was stuck on the ground. The Hammer was stuck in rock for most of the movie.
