DC Blog just announced the new Batgirl #1 and yes it is with Barbara written by Gail Simone, I can't wait!

Some things look weak. Like BOP? Uninteresting team, IMO. And Barbara as Batgirl? Meh/

I'm surprised Gail is writing Babs as Batgirl again, given her staunch support of keeping Babs as Oracle. But her reasoning here makes sense, I guess. She's a good writer regardless so it will be a decent read.

NW is awesome.

On a plus side, Batwing will get his own series.

I wonder how they're bringing Babs back as Batgirl, because by the sounds of things, all the recent developments in the Batman corner of things are remaining the same (Dick was still Batman, but is going back to Nightwing, Damian is Robin etc)

I'm also wondering what's going to happen to Tim, Stephanie and Cassie (I'm hoping Red Robin will continue)

And I'm assuming Kate will still be Batwoman following the reboot...

i am hoping tomorrow or some time this week that DC will announce Tim is returning as Red Robin, Cass and Steph get new names and ongoings..

I can see them bringing Babs back as Oracle sometime, which is only right. Just giving fans some of what they want for now with her being Batgirl. I think Gail will do the utmost for her with respect from what she's said: " This is classic Barbara as she was originally conceived, with a few big surprises".
