Animal Man continues to be one of the best books on the stands. The Totems look friggen bizarre and awesome.
Maxine is the real deal.

I'm liking JL Dark quite a bit actually.
Superman was indeed meh. Aquaman was solid. New Guardians was actually pretty good. Flash was alright.
Which brings me to Firestorm...Firestorm #1 was a disaster, maybe the worst comic I've ever read. Every panel made me want to bash my head against the wall. Even the title "The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men" made me want to gag. I read this week's in hopes that, at the very least, I could have some semi-positive thoughts on the character/book. And I was actually surprised to say that I kind of did. I say "kind of" because it wasn't quite as bad as #1. With #1, I thought it was so bad DC should have paid people to read it instead of the other way around. #2 I'd grade as merely a D-. That said, I don't suggest reading it.

Yes, and I quite liked it. A bit short, after reading the preview, but impressed so far, and looking forward to the next issue.
Superman I thought was okay, not great but not crap, especially when you think of what we had six months ago.
Dark Knight... I like the series so far, and I'm interested to see what comes next.
Teen Titans was solid, but that's about it.
Flash was all-right, felt like filler tbh.
Think that's all i've read for the moment...

I thought you would really dig JL Dark, Galan. I thought it would be right up your alley 🙁

Yeah, he really is. Supposedly the reboot was his idea, but I doubt it would have had the same impact had he not had the likes of Johns and Morrison on board.
The writer rooster is excellent, but Didio has never striked me as a great editor. To his credit, the reboot is a great idea, now he needs to show the editor skills to back it up.

Without Johns and Morrison, easily the top two writers in DC, and arguably in comics right now, this would have likely gone sour quickly. I honestly think the reboot was more Lee's brainchild than DiDio, and Lee managed to get Geoff on board early on. Morrison seemed like he was pretty whatever about it; so long as he got to do what he wanted, he seemed happy - as am I.

He's a bad editor, and generally a bad writer; I was a huge Outsiders fan, but all it took was one issue written by him to put me off.
This is the guy who said Countdown was "52 done right".

Same. Morrison says he wants to stick with Superman, and if his run on Batman is any indication, we have a lot to look forward to. Johns basically runs DC now, i'd say. He took a company that, to be fair, wasn't hitting the heights it could have, and turned things around. He might have his issues, but you can't fault what he's done for Wally West, Green Lantern, Superman, and now JL and Aquaman.
The man can print money at this point.

Yeah, my issues with Johns are usually little things or when he really tries overly hard to sell you on Character X, but overall, I'm a fan of his.
