He seems to be managing. The bat books have been solid for the most part, imo.

In all seriousness though, we won't be getting him soon unless DC changes their minds. Manapul actually went to the editors with a Wally pitch, but no luck as yet.

Wally is part of Inception 😄

but in all seriousness DC needs to bring him back as well as a few others

Wally West Flash has been among my favorite characters due to both Mark Wake and Geoff Johns. I don't understand why Geoff wants to ignore him despite the fact that he's the reason Wally has become many peoples favorite character. It would be like Peter David erasing Tempest/Aqualad and giving a reason that Aqualad being in the picture ruins Arthur. Bull Shit.

As for the Bat books.... There's just so many!!! Are they in different times like action and superman? I kind of wish they had just cold rebooted him like superman. I would have liked to have seen a slight twist origin for him. Not like Stab Lee did, though 😛

Agreed; I just hope when he comes back that it's without those f*cking kids.

The bat books all seem to be present day, from what I can tell.

Looks like Lex Luthor and Mr. Terrific has some competition. In Firestorm, Ronnie said Stein is the smartest man on the planet. Maybe hyperbole, but Stein supposedly found God in the atom.

The funny thing is the fans (and most writers!) tend to be overwhelmingly pro-Wally. It's not that they don't like Barry necessarily, it's just they love Wally West.

Editorial went Barry because they wanted to recreate GL Rebirth and all that, but it's not like with GL where there's two very major camps who both have followers. There's just Flash fans, few of whom were clammering for a switch over of any sort.

Would the Bat books be easy to get into despite not having read them since, ahhhh, Legacy?

I did read the tie in with Blackest Night, but that's it.

In short, yes. They might have things canon to them (like Damian being Robin), but they're brand new stories; it's not like GL.

Okay, cool. Because I don't know much about this Batman incorporated thing. Which one would you suggest if I had to read one?

Just read Teen Titans 1 and 2. Seems promising.

Question:

Is Tempest still dead (or even exists in the new timeline) and has Aqualad made an appearance yet?

Detective or Batman would be good i'd say.

No appearances that I know of, though I did hear that johns isn't bringing in a supporting cast until after the first arc. That means we may not see Garth, Dolphin, Vulko or anyone for a bit yet.

YESS!! WTF!?

Some big GRIFTER plans just set up. All I can say now is...you'll be surprised at how big a role he'll play very soon.[quote]

[quote]Grifter 3 makes a great jumping-on point, especially to be on board for the madness that's coming.

Starting in Action Comics #4, there'll be a backup story at the back of the comic, detailing the introduction of Steel himself.

Just read a few of this week's comics...

Batgirl was nothing short of excellent. That last few pages with her and Nightwing were, pound for pound, some of the best post-reboot DC writing I've read.
Green Lantern was better than last time, and the series seems to be getting better and better.
Huntress was solid; looking forward to the next one.
Superboy was decent, and nice to finally see you know who show up.

Red Hood #3. Art is pretty spectacular. The All Caste is pretty interesting.

Bong Boy? ermmnone

Loved Green Lantern. Johns is doing a good job getting me hooked again and enjoying the title as it stands on its own, not as a means to tie into Blackest Night/Brightest Day.

Just finished Green Lantern. Holy crap! What's going to happen next!? Any theories? Thoughts?
