Big team matchups are tough calls.

On one hand, Classic Strange is probably the strongest guy out there. On the other hand, the Avengers team has a bit more in the way of weak links who have no business being here and will be killed or incapacitated within seconds (if they aren't just ignored entirely)

Overall I give the slight majority to JLA for better overall balance of strength, speedblitzing, and telepathy.

JLA stomps on this one. Too many heavy hitters for the avengers. The only way it would be worse for them if you were to have Hal instead of Kyle on this.

Pretty one sided.

...and since JLA has two more big boys, I'm going with JLA.

Im not sure Dr Strange could swing the balance.

I go with Avengers because of Doctor Strange and his ridiculous showings, and because to few on JLA would be able to give Surfer at least a split.
