Armageddon was bs, the characterization didn't make any sense, Grifter and Midnighter were already established as being friends / friendly acquaintances in Point Blank. Anyway Midnighter is lucky Apollo killed Cole, because Grifter was a split second away from ending Midnigter's miserable life. 😎

Considering that years after Point Blank, the Authority went on to essentially rule the world by force and screw it up in Coup d'Etat and The Authority: Revolution, Grifter's animosity with the Authority is perfectly appropriate.

And Midnighter still stomps Grifter. Again.
