[Cross-Genre] Dracula vs. Alexander Anderson

Disclaimer:Let me say first that I asked Badabing and he gave me explicit permission to make this versus thread.

Reason for fight: For a while I've been trying to get my head around where exactly Vampires in Marvel stand in a superhero environment. I haven't read any of the Wolverine/Jubilee or Fear Itself, so without a respect thread (as far as I know) for any major vampire characters I come to making this thread. Knowing where Vampires stand also brings me to where certain characters from Hellsing stand, which is something else I've also wanted to know for some time. Let me also make it clear that all my knowledge of Dracula comes from Tomb of Dracula volumes 1 and 2 (reading that now) and that terrible Apocalypse/Dracula one shot. This thread is mostly a fact finding mission for me.

Fight stipulations

Setting

All of the fights take place in Rio 1 hour after the sun has set and the city is devoid of any living or unliving thing save the two combatants.

Scenarios

1. Standard Dracula vs. Standard Anderson. No prep or foreknowledge about each other save that Dracula is a vampire and Anderson is a vampire hunter.

2. Standard Dracula vs. Standard Anderson. One month of prep and foreknowledge of each other allowed.

3. Standard Dracula vs. "Monster of God" Anderson. No prep or foreknowledge.

4. Standard Dracula vs. "Monster of God" Anderson. One month of prep and foreknowledge.

5. Strongest version of Dracula vs. Standard Anderson. No prep or foreknowledge.

6. Strongest version of Dracula vs. Standard Anderson. One month of prep and foreknowledge.

7. Strongest version of Dracula vs. "Monster of God" Anderson. No prep or foreknowledge.

8. Strongest version of Dracula vs. "Monster of God" Anderson. One month of prep and foreknowledge.

i think monster of god takes it in most situations here and Andersons unkillableness combined with the weapons he uses which are anathema to dracula might be too much for the count.

Going off the Marvel wiki here:

Dracula wouldn't have the strength or energy projection advantage in most of these fights?

Hellsing strength levels are really vague since we only really see Seras Victoria lifting heavy loads and Dracula not only knows magic but he supposedly can out weather manipulate Storm or Thor.

It depends on how much effect Anderson's consecration and other faith based abilities will have on Dracula, which is hard to determine because Marvel has been notoriously inconsistent on Dracula's weaknesses and limitations. If Anderson's techniques work he should win, alternatively if Dracula is resistant I dont see how Anderson stands much of a chance.

thats true but I'm thinking more along the lines that Anderson has wolverine level regen combined with his bayonets which are like vampire kryptonite and his own magical capabilities which included setting up a barrier alucard couldn't get out of and I consider Alucard a tougher opponent than Dracula.

Well, to clarify a few things:

1. The gear he had with him in Ireland only caused minor irritation to Alucard and pain to Seras. The gear he had in London was powerful enough to reduce the SS Vampires to dust from just puncturing them but there's two train of thoughts on this:

A. He had the same basic gear on both missions and Alucard's (and as his get, Seras) status as Dracula+100 years of experimentation was the reason for the difference between how they were affected.

B. The Vatican supplied him with better gear for the Crusade.

I follow the second line of thought because of the fact that Anderson not only had the chain-bayonet explosives but also the Nail of Helena.

2. The barrier didn't keep Alucard in as far as we could tell. It kept Seras in but at that point in the series she was barely more powerful than a standard vampire.

What does Dracula have over Anderson that makes it in his favor in all 8 situations?

For Standard Anderson they're equal in speed most likely. Dracula can arguably have advantage in strength and he also has weather manipulation. Anderson though most likely has Durability since he shrugged off full-auto fire from 5 M16A2s like it was nothing and that was sans his healing factor most likely.

For "Monster of God" he has sanctified fire that could hurt even Alucard and regeneration on par with Alucard.

I just read issue 50 (can't find 51) and I have to say.... really?

I mean, ignoring that both the Surfer and Dracula notice that he's fighting as being told to, not fighting as he naturally would (which amounts to shooting like a drunk and just attempting energy blasts instead of the wide versatility), really?

Surfer is class 100+ and can duke it out with guys like The Hulk, Gladiator and Thanos and he gets stunned by a pimp smack from someone who's only Class 4?

And he has trouble keeping up with a bat and gets tripped up by a swarm of giant rats?
