Conceal and Carry.

Watch the whole video.

Obviously, the "editor" for this video is highly biased in presentation, but the original video is there for you to judge yourself. Try to be objective.

Keep the "guns or no guns" argument in the proper thread.

Summary: Driver was pulled over on a known "prostitution" street, had a gun, had a conceal and carry license, and one of the officers got very upset at him for not revealing this fact sooner.

The driver tried, multiple times, to inform the officers that he had a conceal and carry but was flustered/ignored.

The officer said that he would not have lost any sleep if he had executed the gentleman right then and there. (That scene appears right around 13:30.)

This is a great example of conceal and carry laws posing problems for both sides.

1. What is your opinion on the video?
2. Is the officer wrong or should the conceal and carry licensee’s be required to be much more forceful in their proclamation?
3. What do you think about conceal and carry?
4. Does it really conflict with the first, second, and fifth amendments? (If you need a refresher, feel free to view them, here .)

What video?

Woah.

What happend to it?

It appeared in my "preview."

The officer is pretty clearly in the wrong. He had a license, he explained that fact more than once.

I have no problem with it. People should be able to defend themselves and not make themselves into targets while doing so.

I'm not sure what you're referring to.

under concealed carry, what type of guns are allowed?

I'd understand pistols/handguns, but like, would it be possible for me as a private citizen to get a conceal carry license for something like an MP5?

EDIT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_MP5

(sorry to all the wiki haters, I bet Heckler and Koch don't even make the MP5)

I think you can CC anything you're able to CC. It would be pretty hard to get an MP5 anyway, H&K tends not to sell their military stuff to civilians no matter what.

I was going to say you could probably buy a .22LR clone but apparently Canada bans anything that even looks like a banned weapon. Huh.

I'm not sure how the law works for things like machine pistols (glock 17, etc), but anything that can be put on auto-fire is banned

though, I think there are means through which private citizens can get liscences for banned weapons, I'm just not aware at all
