The second trailer for this says "From Hasbro the company that brought you Transformers" - you might as well say "Hey, no Transformers movie next year but we're the next best thing! Come on out!"

Because it looks just like Transformers... Also Cameron has Aliens and T2 under his belt. Bay has nothing nearly as good.

Armageddon was as good as T2.

With Avatar, Cameron stuck to the formula & decided not to let any sub-plots de-track from the story.

Avatar sacrificed plot for pure visuals.
