This guy keeps coming up with these solutions that sound considerably riskier than the issues he points out. It's like he wants to put the global economy into cardiac arrest to cure its hypoxia.
Correction: to *prevent* its hypoxia. All his critiques are purely predictive, which of course makes me suspicious of his validity.

I think it's more more apt to say he wants to force the US economy to go on a diet, quit it's drugs, and start working harder to prevent an inevitable heart attack.
Doing all of those things, at once, is just too much for most people to do without going insane or screwing one of the above up, ruining the whole point of "turning the life around."

I'm pretty sure a massive change in diet combined with a sudden increase in physical stress would cause a heart attack.

He's an idiot isolationist cockbag of epic proportions and it still amazes me that people would even consider pissing on him if he was on fire.
At one point I did support him for President, now I'm not even sure I'd want to see him in a Cabinet post.
he's not nearly as idiotic as his son
for a while he was very alluring, given how corrupt to the core most politicians are, and in a much different world, I'm not sure he would have bad policy opinions
however, ya, in the modern world, his ideas are moronic, especially given we are in a recession
I'd love to see him in power, but only if the opposition was a socialist party that were just as committed to their ideas as he was. It would be interesting to see what real extreme right and left parties might come up with in such a situation. again, probably not an experiment you want to run in the midst of economic down times.

Lol if the current situation is any indication, I think it would entail nothing getting accomplished because neither one will compromise on anything for the greater good.

He'll never get elected because he is not a member of that corrupt group the CFR and wants to get rid of the fed.You have to be a member of that evil organization or you dont get elected. The establishment will make sure he does not get elected because of those two reasons.
They don't need to. Ron Paul does a fine job of not getting himself elected. The man doesn't do politics. He can be proud of being "Doctor No" if he wants but it means that, conspiracy or not, he will never have allies.

Yes......and yet he still can't seem to bring the two competing camps together.
So just imagine if you ramped up the polarization by a factor of 100.
Anyone who hates Ron Paul hates freedom. Simple as that. If you hate him, you're one of two things.
1. Fascist neoconservative Zionist.
2. Fascist neoliberal statist.
Pick your poison. You can disagree with his policies, but if you despise one of the few Christian politicians in America actively working to achieve a better society, you love tyranny.
