Looks like sex, very siggish. I like the dots, they remind me of dots. Points off for not having the girl from kick-ass in there.
Like most duels, this was pretty close. Matter of opinion, Scythe's kind of looks just like a screenshot, which is obviously what he was going for, but doesn't quite do it for me as a signature goes. It's very solid though, seriously bro. Thoren's had a bit of negative space.
Anyway Thoren wins IMO, it just has that sparkle and pop that makes it stand out.

The bang was like a cannon blast, and the golden flames that
erupted between them, at the dead center of the circle they had been
treading, marked the point where the spells collided. Thorinn saw
Scythe's green jet meet his own spell, saw the Barker Wand fly
high, dark against the sunrise, spinning across the enchanted ceiling
like the head of Roland, spinning through the air toward the master it
would not kill, who had come to take full possession of it at last.
And Thorinn, with the unerring skill of the guy who likes to grab wand shaped objects, caught the wand
in his free hand as Scythe fell backward, arms splayed, the slit
pupils of the scarlet eyes rolling upward. Scythe Scyther hit the floor
with a mundane finality, his body feeble and shrunken, the white
hands empty, the snakelike face vacant and unknowing. Scythe
was dead, killed by his own rebounding curse, and Thorinn stood with
two wands in his hand, staring down at his enemy’s shell.
