The Joker vs. The Operative
Combatants: The Joker as depicted in The Dark Knight; The Operative as depicted in Serenity.
Set-up : The Operative’s relentless pursuit of River Tam leads him to the city limits of Gotham City; there, he discovers that the local criminal element, led by Salvatore Maroni, has captured River for their own fiendish purposes. Understanding that the Operative lacks the Batman’s noble scruples, a frantic Maroni convinces the Joker to postpone his plans for the Dark Knight in order to deal with their mysterious new threat. The Joker detects similarities between the Operative and the Batman and while initially weary of the Operative’s willingness to kill, acquiesces to Maroni upon discovering the Operative’s “attachment” to the disturbed River Tam.
Scenario: Can the Operative, armed with his sword, combat vest, and handgun defeat the Joker and Salvatore Maroni’s gangsters and rescue River?
