I'll pick it up and thumb through it some time.
Maybe.
I'm just a little turned off by Slade apparently being defined solely by his 'badassery'
Also the fact that apparently he doesn't meet or fight any important superheroes/villains is bullshit.
Been super busy of late, but I got a chance to read all the new issues this week except RM and Mr. Terrific (so far, at least).
Brief first impressions:
Batman & Robin: Bad. Not interested
Batwoman: Good, will follow up on
Deathstroke: Good. Trying a bit too hard to force his character, don't like how they made his costume armor
Demon Knights: Little tough to follow along, but seems solid. Definitely got promise and will continue
Frankie: Pretty good. Will follow a while, but probably drop.
Green Lantern: Great
Grifter: First issue was meh, but will follow a bit
Legion Lost: See Batman & Robin
Red Lanterns: Good. Will follow
Suicide Squad: Neutral on the first issue
Superboy: Good story. Since he's a character who's already been defined by his development and maturation, I'm not really thrilled to be starting over.
Now that all the 52 are out, and I've gotten a chance to read them all, these are the books I'm interested enough to read the #2s:
Will Read #2:
Action Comics
All-Star Western (Barely, not interested in the subject matter but the story of #1 was really good)
Animal Man
Aquaman
Batgirl
Batman
Batwing
Batwoman
Birds of Prey
Blue Beetle
Captain Atom
Catwoman
DC Universe Presents
Deathstroke
Demon Knights
Detective Comics
Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E.
Green Lantern
Green Lantern Corps
Green Lantern: New Guardians
I, Vampire (I'll give it a few issues to grow on me)
Justice League of America
Justice League Dark
Justice League International
Men of War
Mister Terrific
Nightwing
O.M.A.C.
Red Hood and the Outlaws
Red Lanterns
Stormwatch
Superboy
Supergirl
Superman
Swamp Thing
The Flash
The Fury of Firestorm (One of my least favorite, I'll give it another chance because I liked Firestorm in the past)
Wonder Woman
These books I may or may not give a second chance:
Batman: The Dark Knight
Green Arrow
Suicide Squad
Teen Titans
The Savage Hawkman
Voodoo
And these ones are a one-and-done:Batman & RobinBlackhawksGrifter (Might pick up again a while later)Hawk & DoveLegion LostLegion of Super-HeroesResurrection ManStatic Shock
We'll see next month who makes the cut to #3
Given what I've read so far, the books I'll be definitely sticking with are:
Action Comics
Aquaman (For me the best of the new 52; everything I'd hoped for and more. Now, if only DC didn't keep stealing my ideas)
Batgirl
Batman
Batman: The Dark Knight
Catwoman
Detective Comics
Green Lantern
Green Lantern Corps
Green Lantern New Guardians
Justice League
Nightwing
Red Lanterns
Superman
Wonder Woman
The books that I may drop if issue #2 doesn't grab me (though I'm hoping some will):
Batman and Robin
Justice League International
Red Hood & The Outlaws (I love Jason Todd, but this book is only lasting on that and Kenneth Rockafort for me. May drop very soon)
Superboy
Supergirl
The Flash
Voodoo
Before the reboot, i regularly read maybe 6-8 comics. DC has definitely won me over, when initially i thought this was the worst idea ever.
