I don't think I can ever truly escape this place, but I probably won't be back until Christmas. Does that count?

Just to post in my thread? haermm

I miss your fancy S.

How've you been, Irene?

Great, thanks for asking darling. Currently in Spain, going to return home soon.

How are you?

Spain? Holy shit, last time I was on here you were about to leave. Heck of a Eurotrip then. You get to participate in Tomatina or any of their wine festivals?

I was actually talking to Sanct and she was kind enough to correct my usage & pronounciation of your first name - Yarnya. I always love hearing about KMC meetups though.

Right now school's just starting so it's a pretty refreshing feeling. Plus all the hot chicks seem way chill here, very easy to talk to. It helps that most of the 1st year ones like me are a little shy as well.

Just gotta turn on the asian swag. 😎

It's Yaryna.

I also always find it weird when people use the actual names of the people they talk to in communities where pseudonyms are chosen. I feel like if I wanted to be addressed by my first name I would have chosen that to be my nickname. I have also noticed that sometimes people use my name even though I have not given it to them, I assume to imply some sort of familiarity between us that does not exist. Not aimed at you in particular, of course, DarkC /rant.

I got a bit of a lecture from a friend back then - forget who - for using the screennames over real first name; ever since then I've kinda just adjusted to not using them.

Hmm, well it obviously depends, if someone used my online handle irl in a different group that's not connected, I would also find that inappropriate. Really I just think people should use the name they are given in the places that they were given. If I tell someone my name in PM, sure, call me that in PM, it doesn't mean I want it used on the public board. Things like that.

Obviously you and silver_tears know each other, so it doesn't apply, it's just something I've noticed. People I don't know trying to be chummy by using my real name. I try to be cautious of what name to use of people.

OK, I'll refrain from using yours since you don't like it, likewise if anyone else feels weird about it just say so and I'll cut it out. It's just a habit I've developed over time and from participating in multiple forums.

I don't actually mind, but yeah it's weird haha
I suppose because people normally call me Irene more than anything

Yaryna sounds like a weird East European name. I am guessing probably slavic.

That's because all Eastern Europeans are slavic. 😐

Edit: Besides the gypsies of course.

That's a dumb, broad generalization.

oh it means peaceful, that's cute. and people with the name tend to be creative and very good at expressing themselves thanks urban dick!

It's not though. You're out of your element, Donny.

Besides Hungary and Romania, all Eastern European countries have predominately Slavic populatians.

Fine, whatever, not going to sit here and read how an American is telling me about where I live. Especially without providing any arguments as to why.
