I was just playing. They don't have to be identical in order to be exact copies of the other. We all know that Gladiator and Superman have similar qualities...90% of everything involving them are about the same minus Gladiator being physically above Supes but that is another story.

I fail to see where there's any indication of him being immune to energy attacks. Vulcan? No. Vulcan just didn't use powerful enough energy.
