American Horror Story

Just watched the finale, overall a good season. The last two seasons of this show have captured what made the show so good in the first place.

Really there are a lot of loose ends/things not followed up on if you think about it.
Like, the porn guy that was killed, who’s car they tried to escape in.
He was never seen again, though he should have been one pissed off ghost, yeah?

Not like the Walking Dead which is fell off the horse.

In regards to AHS, it just seemed to me they'd done all there was to do, told their huge interconnected story. That and fan favorite cast members not returning from season to season.

But yeah, the nature of the show means it can still keep going.
And as long as viewers give new faces a chance (1984 didn’t suffer at all imo from having so many first time cast members) four seasons is for sure doable.

Considering the show's format, I'm not entirely sure there is such thing as 'doing everything there was to do'.

But they should take longer to make the seasons to keep the ideas fresh. And take risks.

I think they’ve got plenty more seasons to go on. Especially if they mine for current events like they did with Cult. I’ve honestly enjoyed the last 3 seasons, with Apocalypse ranking as the best they’ve ever done IMO. Murphy and Falchuk are amazing writers so I’ve got confidence they’ll be all good-great seasons

I’ll definitely be on board. I’ve only ever felt they had one dud season!

Sounds like Sara Paulson and Evan Peters are returning for season 10. This is good news but I honestly didn't miss them last season.

And Kevin McCallister AKA Macaulay Culkin has been cast for season 10 as well which is going to be interesting.

The list of returning actors is pretty good, too. Not sure how I feel about a Culkin/Bates sex scene though. I already have enough trouble sleeping at night. 😕

They are doing a spin off called American Horror Stories.

It's gonna be a single story contained in each episode. So sort of like Twilight Zone. And some of the actors from the original are returning.

Interesting. It could be good. This show is hit or miss. Some seasons are great and some are not. I've really enjoyed seasons 1,3,4,8, and 9. 2 was okay and I find the others just bleh.

The show IS hit or miss (for me). At least w. single eps we're not stuck w. something shitty cough-Hotel-cough for an entire season.
