If Marvel earth is in Danger, and only one earth hero is to save it. Who will it be?

To me it's definately is Thor.

Doom. He can basically be just as effective as anyone else on earth, given varying degrees of time/prep.

It really depends on the type of threat; but, considering the hero always saves the Earth any will do really because the story will evolve to protect the Earth, for instance the original Thanos arc started with Iron Man and Captain Marvel and ended with Warlock going deus ex machina.
