PHOENIX -- An Arizona State University professor's campaign against dirty restaurant playgrounds got her banned from several McDonald's in the Valley.

Dr. Erin Carr-Jordan, a mother of four, started recording and posting videos of trashy playgrounds, and quickly built an international following. Her lab tests, which revealed dangerous bacteria on the equipment, have been featured on network broadcasts and in major national newspapers.

This week, Carr-Jordan was notified by an East Valley franchisee's attorney that she is no longer allowed in any of his McDonald's restaurants that have playgrounds.

"Rather than have someone come into the playgrounds and do the right thing and make them clean and safe, they told me not to come in anymore," Carr-Jordan said.

In a statement, a McDonald's spokesman said the corporation had been working with the doctor to address her concerns, but said she's become "disruptive" to employees and customers in the restaurants owned by the franchisee. The entire statement is below.

Carr-Jordan says even though she's banned, other volunteers are coming forward.

"I've had emails from all over from parents saying they'll go in to swab [the equipment]," she said.

Giving someone the boot for finding out their restraunt has terrible custodians really isn't looking good for McDonald's image.

Well this is just anti-science. Ridiculous. They will do anything to save a dime.

The fact that she was stupid enough to not contact Morgan Spurlock first tells you everything you need to know

right, the scientist didn't call the F-list celebrity, what was she thinking...

As if "scientist" means something. lol

Reminds me of how Feynman said the military reacted when he started breaking all their locks.

Thats McDonalds for you.

If McDonald's statement is true; they were working with her but she was being an irate idiot about it, I can see why they banned her.

this seems totally plausible

it would strike me the same as people complaining to cashiers about the price of coffee at donut shops. They might agree entirely, it is just something they have no ability to change if they want to keep their minimum wage job

Good for her...👆 and **** those greedy careless owners. Who cares about being banned from fast food joint, its better this way anyways. They are just careless and trying to save a buck.

.

What's this?

Where kids play...there are lots of gross germs?

NO WAY!

😐

So please tell us something we didn't know.

Germs sherms.

I think the ban was a little overboard, though.

Then again, none of us heard the full story. There might be more to this than was published by that article.

But If McDonald's did this just to 'save face', they very well may be the 'Western Samsung'.
