That would be the only way I would see it in imax.

The film is WideScreen 16:9. Bloody Whedon.

I actually prefer that ratio. Looks the best to me. I think 2.35:1 is a bit too wide. Plus they make TVs in 16:9 ratio, so I think more filmmakers should use it. *shrug*

i will be watching this on IMAX, can't wait

A fun watch...

It's frustrating waiting for more people to see this movie so we can all comment on it...

So far it's made 6 million in the 2 days it's opened in Australia.
No.2 against Harry Potter so far.

Damn, that's impressive.

Still got to wait a week for it to open here in the States.

I thought it premiered at the same time world wide?
...so that's why so few are yet to rave on about it.

This is just my simple calculations based on one screening in a cinema complex:
*The theatre I went to seated 836 people at $22.50 a ticket for 3D.
At full house, one session alone made $AU 18,810.

*The 3D version was being screened 6 sessions a day, raking in $AU 112860.

And I haven't even bothered calculating the other theatre in the complex that was showing the 2D version. Nor have I counted how many other complexes & screenings there are.

I've seen this film and it's so Epic. Love the stars in their characters and everything is just a great big whoah! And I've heard it reached 101 million (in philippine money) within just 2 days...

================

I'm gonna watch it tomorrow, I decided I don't care if I see it on my own. I can't sit around waiting for my friends, or I'll see if I can coax a friend into coming.

Steve, your friends called.
They hate you & already have seen the movie. 😈

That sounds like something they would do

We're seeing it today, I managed to convince them...well actually more like they didn't have anything else to do but still. I hope there's a post credit scene.

I downloaded the movie. What a load a S*t... waste of good downloading, it was like (thing) said..."A problem presents it self, heros are called, they are a mess, and have to work together to solve a common problem,,the end.

Thanks for the review. No, seriously, thanks. There's a lot of positive attitudes/opinions from KMC on this movie so it is nice to see a dissenting opinion.

It may be predictable on the surface if you generalize it like that, but at least there's lots of people running around in silly costumes to make up for it. 😉

Rudester is gay. This means his opinion - on sexy men, dressed up in tight costumes - matters more than yours and mine.

I jest, of course.

But, no...for real. dun dun duunnnnnn

😆 Good point.

Why is this film released in Europe before the United States?

I've never heard of a blockbuster Hollywood movie being released anywhere first except America.
