Favorite Romance in Comics

Whic is your favorite romance and why...and what's your least favorite romance and why.

Superman and Lois
Spider-Man and MJ
Batman and Catwoman
Hulk and Betty Ross
Reed and Sue Richards
Cyclops and Jean
or other unnamed romance

Mid and Apollo.

Ghey buttsex ftw!

<3 Forge & Storm

From the list, Reed & Sue.

What is with you people and your lack of reading comprehension.

Don't backseat Mod. sneer

The thread won't last long anyway.

Wally West and Linda Park is, for me, arguably the best romance writing wise.
Emma Frost is a better match for Cyclops (and he for her), than anyone else imo; it's the most grown up, realistic relationship I've read.
Batman and Catwoman. Such a rich history, and I envy any writer that gets to write it.
Colossus and Kitty Pryde is good too.

Those would be my top ones.

He's about five years older than her, iirc.

Not really. Well, I'm sure they do have better sex than he ever had with Jean, but the relationship is built on more than that. With Jean, Cyclops always felt he had to be perfect, to be the wonderful boyfriend that could do no wrong. It was a fairytale relationship. The relationship with Emma is that of two people who aren't necessarily perfect, yet know that they don't have to be, and that they can be themselves with one another.

Marvel breaking them up is going to be one of their worst decisions yet imo.

hmmm thats actually a quite nice description

I do always remember cyke as the ultimate straightarrow boyscout when he was with jean

is he no longer such now that he is with emma? and does that really make him a better character?

He's the same man he's always been; he's just come out of his shell a bit more with Emma (he even tells her to shut up when she's out of line); that, and he doesn't report to Xavier anymore, so he had to step up and be boss man.

Morrison's X-Men run following in to Astonishing X-Men is probably the best example of his growth from what he was to what he is.

If they try to regress when Jean comes back, I'll be giving up on X-Men again.

We both know this is a comic book forums question, not a VS question.

lol

Nataku:

The thread isn't titled as a question. And Starscream was nice enough to make a list. I'm content with the format.

If it was something like "Who has the best romance..." without a list then it would have been closed.

My intention is to weed out threads which ask questions in the title and don't even have a list. It makes for a thread which has no real goal and no beginning or end. Also, if people are too lazy to put any thought or effort into a thread then they shouldn't even post it.

I'm seeing too many people make threads just to get their thread count higher.

Deadpool and Cable

Scott and Emma (IMO one of the better parts of character development for Scott)

Suzume and Dawn (not that probably any of you read Ninja High School 🙂)

Odin + Thor

Gonna second that emotion.

I could kinda see Loki/Thor, but that's it.

Jessie Custer and Tulip O'Hare and Cassidy.

Superman and Lois - Heh.
Spider-Man and MJ - MJ was an awful woman at times. No wonder he wished her away. Spidey did what he had to do!
Batman and Catwoman - Old days lol. Present day Porn.
Hulk and Betty Ross - Bad boy against the girl's father plot that blossumed into everyone involved becoming just like the guy. Kinda like a mafia tale.
Reed and Sue Richards - God no. Lucky for Reed he's the best in bed.
Cyclops and Jean - Tragic and sweet. Close. Xmen was the ultimate comic soap opera in the day.
