Yeah but those IPs weren't strong enough to carry the game. They can be in the series now but back then, it wouldn't have helped the game.

The latter was good enough in Japan to warrant a rerelease though. Sales for Okage in America were shit but I blame the lack of marketing.

Both could work. The thing is that Sony needs to pick up so many third party characters that it might as well be Nintendo or Namco or anyone else who does the PS Battle Royle.

There was no real Fan Favorites in the game, much like Darkseid should have been in Injustice. All they needed was Crash Bandicoot and this woulda been a sell-out game. It needed Spyro, Crash, Rayman, and Sora.

There were definitely some fan favorites. Kratos, Jak, Ratchet, Sly, Cole, and Drake came from popular PS games that fans love to play.

Crash probably would have helped the sales a bit more but not so much that it would've been an instant success. Maybe in the sequel but only with other 3rd party characters that people want.

Dude, no. I would go as far as saying that Crash MADE playstation. Xbox has Master Chief. Nintendo has Mario. Playstation has Crash Bandicoot.

Crash hasn't been the mascot for 15 years now and his games since then never truly matched up to his PS1 games.

The reason people want Crash in this game is because of what he was in the past and not what he is now and that alone is not enough to make the game a success. He's going to need other key characters from that same time.

You must don't really keep up with PlayStation games or something, because I don't see how anybody does not at least recognize Jak and Ratchet.

You know, I never would have thought that I would come back to this game after Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS was released.

To be fair I'll probably recognized them if I saw the characters, even the name ring a bell, but it all stems from me not playing the original games anyways.

I'm so old that at that era my ratio of buying games was already slowing down. I have more money now, so I picked them back up 😛

Ratchet I've seen... Jak not so much.

Jak and Daxter were rad platformers, lots of fun
