It occured to me last night what this game could be, and I`m not even sure if the the makers of this game came to realize this. Smash bros and eventually melee became the ultimate love letter to the nintendo and super nintendo generation that took the world by storm. This game could do the same for the playstation generation which also took the world by storm. I remember when there was a ps1 in damn near every house. I would like this to be the same kind of nostalgia trip that melee ended up being.

And no, in general when crossovers happen they tend to stick to in game feats for the characters if they specify something like "SSBB Link".

That's the point; specific feats are used. It doesn't have to be from Smash Bros. or PlayStation All-Stars but the matchup can still be centered around the idea of "Smash Bros. vs. PlayStation All-Stars".

Rayquaza destroyed a planet busting meteor in another game. Close enough that this is no contest. And then there are characters like Mario and Sonic lol.
The Playstation side barely has a roster.
4 guys vs Nintendo's huge cast. Unless you plan to take other Sony game characters? Which would work really.
