Archangel hasn't been doing to well in direct confrontations...Fantomex beat on him but had no way to really kill him. Psylocke could've killed him but decided against it. Wolverine almost gutted Warren but was fooled and blasted. In the preview for the next issue Fantomex is beating on Archangel again.

Yeah, we avoid ABC logic and all, and I haven't seen what went down between Fantomex and Archangel, but I can believe that F's misdirection could lead Warren into danger. And saying that, say, Betsy could have killed Warren isn't actually saying a lot, because she's clearly on another level from anybody competing in this match, so...

Warren has pretty much lost every direct hand-to-hand match up except against sabretooth, CIS prevented characters from kill him. He really hasn't been impressive at all. Fantomex didn't even use his misdirection.

genocide cannot fly, when he needs to be moved he gets a lift from archangel so...
even if that's entirely true, he evolved beyond that in the span of the last several issues.

he got a lot more powerful as the arc progressed, so signs of "weakness" an issue ago were pretty much off the table the issue hence, for example any time wolverine looked like he had a chance were trashed when he stabbed archangel and owned himself in the process in the last issue

he only had one weakness so his fighting prowess was irrelevant, but as you can see he still got the job done. his power makes up for the limited skill basically
