Yeah, Simonsons Orion was a beast.
Ostranders J'onn is up there too, but where Simonson made Orion awesome, Ostrander made MM into a Lovecraft-ian horror or something. Although the "chocos" story was all kinds of awesome. 😂
They actually made this specific incarnation of Martian Manhunter in the table top miniature game HeroClix. The sculpt is of him sitting on a throne of Chocos and he actually has an ability named "Unbridled Choco Rage".
